Atlas 3.4.2 provenance
----------------------
Atlas 3.4.2 was built from the exact Mac-ready Atlas 3.4.1 source used by the
current GenesisZX website release, not from an older Atlas development branch.
The installed 3.4.1 executable and the pristine 3.4.1 source hashes are recorded
in SOURCE-PROVENANCE.md in the release source package.

Transcription upgrade
---------------------
* Meeting capture is continuous 16 kHz mono PCM, not repeatedly compressed
  five-second recordings. Five-second uploads are durable storage boundaries,
  never Whisper inference boundaries.
* The selected microphone is opened by exact device id and remembered. Atlas
  reports an error instead of silently switching microphones.
* Original audio is finalized safely and preserved separately from a
  conservatively normalized, DC-corrected, clipping-protected prepared WAV.
* Faster-Whisper uses beam search, previous-text conditioning, word timestamps,
  English long-form settings, local Silero VAD, and hallucination thresholds.
* Balanced defaults to large-v3-turbo on a suitable NVIDIA GPU, medium on a
  normal CPU, and small on a lower-memory computer. Fast uses small. Best tries
  large-v3-turbo, then medium, then small. The bundled base.en model is only a
  clearly labeled emergency fallback.
* Atlas preserves immutable Raw Whisper and separate Clean transcripts. Local
  Ollama cleanup is constrained by surrounding context and edit-distance guards;
  uncertainty remains raw and is shown as [unclear] only in the clean copy.
* Summary, decisions, action items, deadlines, and open questions require
  transcript evidence and confidence. Atlas no longer generates generic "How
  to get it done" tasks or fabricated dates/decisions when none were stated.
* Long meetings are analyzed in bounded factual windows before a validated final
  consolidation. Evidence ids survive the hierarchy.
* Interrupted recordings and processing jobs resume from private local storage.
  A completed report is applied to Atlas notes/tasks/calendar exactly once.
* The established Meeting Write-up interface and PDF design are preserved.
* Audio, transcripts, cleanup, analysis, and reports remain local. No cloud
  speech or paid AI service was added, and transcript contents are not logged.

Packaged runtime verification
-----------------------------
* Atlas.exe reports file/product version 3.4.2.
* The frozen launcher loaded the bundled base.en model and completed a local
  Faster-Whisper inference test using CTranslate2, PyAV, NumPy, and ONNX Runtime.
* The frozen local backend returned the Atlas login page and desktop-capability
  response over 127.0.0.1.
* The complete regression suite passed 109 tests with one expected platform-only
  skip. Notes, tasks, calendar, meetings, documents, contacts, settings,
  encrypted storage, security headers, PDF generation, and Mac release checks
  are included in that suite.
* Microsoft Defender scanned this exact AtlasSetup.exe on September 8, 2026 and
  reported no threats.
* Verify AtlasSetup.exe against SHA256SUMS.txt before installation.

Third-party and model notices
-----------------------------
The installer includes THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md and the original dependency
metadata/license files. Faster-Whisper, CTranslate2, Silero VAD, ONNX Runtime,
NumPy, ReportLab, and PyAV/FFmpeg notices are documented there. Higher-quality
Whisper models are downloaded once to the user's private Atlas model cache and
then work offline.

Important public-release limitations
------------------------------------
This installer is not Authenticode-signed with a CA-trusted GenesisZX publisher
certificate because no code-signing certificate is installed on the build host.
Windows may display an Unknown Publisher or SmartScreen warning. The executable
and installer must be signed and timestamped before this build is represented as
a fully signed production release.

The available Inno Setup compiler identified itself as non-commercial-use only.
GenesisZX must obtain and use packaging tooling licensed for its intended
distribution before any commercial release. This build must not be represented
as resolving that pre-existing licensing limitation.
